Drama Training
Spiritual Focus
Local Evangelism
We take "Altar Calls, Not Curtain Calls" very seriously. We strive to implant in each student the call of evangelizm this conference espouses. We try to remind them to set aside ego and bring inside ministry.
The Thursday and Friday services are incredible opportunities for the local church to evangelize their community.
Many people would not darken your doors to hear a regular sermon, but would eagerly attend a drama event.
Although the evenings are training grounds for the students their true function is to allow the local assembly to fill the house with friends, relatives and guests. The evenings are exciting and full of worship opening the hearts and minds to the wonders of serving the Lord!
Excellent teaching through lecture, discussion and practical applications. The students will gain knowledge in a wide variety of drama disciplines.
Scattered throughout the daily sessions are various short Sanctuary Sketches which expose the students to presentations and new ideas.

What are the costs of hosting a Conference of Drama Evangelism?
What's a Drama Revue?
Exact figures are impossible to give, of course, but it would be wise to set aside a budget of $6-7,000.
The amount will vary according to how many clincians you decide to bring in, the amount you spend on advertisement, etc.

The following are budget items:
Honorarium and travel expenses for Terry Vik and Howi Tiller
Honorarium and travel expenses for each additional clinician.
Lodging for all clinicians.
Advertising
Notebooks and class notes for each 'Director' attending.
Rental for stage lighting (if none exists) and amplification.

How do I recoup the costs of hosting a CODE?
Through:
-- Registration Fees
-- Evening offerings
-- Sales of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks
-- Corporate sponsors
-- Church sponsors
A book will soon be available for sale. It will cost $10.00 and will have hundreds of ideas, facts and promotional materials, schedules, dates, worksheets and guidelines. You will find it invaluable not just for promoting a CODE, but for organizing any concert, outreach, crusade or other evangelistic event.
In the meantime contact Howi Tiller or Terry Vik for scheduling and other details. Also sign up for the FREE Newsletter which will keep you up to date and let you know when the book is available to purchase. The signup form is on the HOME page.
How can I get more details on hosting a CODE?
An evening of short (5-7 minute) drama presentations by the local church, the clinicians and selected church drama teams.
Some classes will present pieces learned that day!
It all harmonizes into a powerful, spiritual evening of worship!

On Friday evening we like to offer a lengthier presentation. These are either put on by the local church or brought in by the clinicians.
These presentations may be anywhere from one to two hours in length. Through comedy, drama or a mix they represent another way of preaching the gospel.
